Eastern Sierras – to Garnet Lake (more places to go and see)
Length: 14+ miles
Trails: Various. Mostly Agnew Meadows Trails.
History: This area was inhabited by various Great Basin tribes, such as the Miwok and Mono.
This was my first bike hiking venture. I was very inexperienced and wore chucks with holes in them, and snow seeped into my shoes. I did not anticipate the trail would be completely buried with snow … Without trekking poles, with soaked shoes, I crawled down the slopes towards the end. It was the most beautiful place I had ever been and inspired me to climb more places.
Here is a BGM for this pristine and verdant place.
